Dôen Energy, Not Dôen Prices (full dupe edit)
If you’ve spent any time scrolling on TikTok (or Instagram, or Pinterest…honestly, anywhere with a scroll bar), chances are you’ve come across DÔEN’s whimsical designs floating through your feed—those puff sleeves, the Little House on the Prairie vibe with a tasteful hint of trad-wife recession-core energy.
Inspired by nostalgic landscapes of their youth, sisters Margaret and Katherine Kleveland—alongside a close-knit team of women—founded the brand to celebrate the many layers of womanhood. With years of fashion industry experience between them, the group set out to bring their vision to life: pieces that, for lack of a better phrase, “evoke a timeless whimsy and an unapologetic femininity”.
The sisters were intentional about designing clothing that felt timeless and heirloom worthy. By referencing vintage silhouettes from specific eras, they crafted garments meant to be invested in and passed down for generations, rather than trend driven pieces destined to be cycled out. And DÔEN did an immaculate job—achieving a cult-like following with mass appeal, all while maintaining the charm and intimacy of a small business.
As much as I’d love to fill my closet with every DÔEN drop, my bank account has other plans. Luckily, there are some * stunning * pieces out there that give the same vibe—airy, romantic, perfectly feminine, and recession-core approved—at a fraction of the price.
